2025 AFL LUNCH
We are excited to invite you to our upcoming AFL Lunch, raising funds for the Ruben Centre in one of Kenya’s largest slums - a place where lives are changed through education (4000 students), healthcare (medical and maternity clinics), and a range of social programs.
Our next event will be held on Friday 16th May 2025, in Members Dining Room, MCG.
THE RUBEN CENTRE
The 500 Supporters’ Group’s primary objective over the last 25 years has been to support the Ruben Centre, an outstanding Australian-backed not -for-profit organisation providing education, health and numerous social programs to the people of the Mukuru kwa Ruben region of easter Nairobi, one of the largest slums in Kenya.
Our primary objective is to support the Ruben Centre by helping meet its operating costs of more than $1.4million per annum.
We are proud to have been the cornerstone donor, raising in excess of $8 million through our biannual events held at the MCG each May & October, with over $716,000 raised in 2024.
